Effective June 1, 2020 the Court will return to hearing all matters with the exceptions and provisions set forth in the 17th Circuit Administrative Order 2020-21.
Most matters will continue to be scheduled at the Boone County Courthouse. Some traffic matters may be moved to the community Building Complex, 111 West 1st. Street, Belvidere, Illinois 61008. If your case is moved to the Community Building, please read the following information:

PLEASE READ ANY NOTICE YOU RECEIVE CAREFULLY FOR COURT TIME AND LOCATION
Masks/Face Coverings: Pursuant to General Order 1.03, all persons in public areas of the courthouse, including attorneys, are strongly encouraged to bring a mask/face covering. Those without a mask will only be provided one IF they are available. If you do not have a mask/face covering and none are available at the courthouse, you may be refused entry.
Reduced Call Size: In order to reduce the number of people in the courthouse, the Court is using staggered court times. Attorneys and Self-Represented Litigants are reminded that it is essential that they appear at the designated time in order for this process to work.
Parties Represented by Counsel Excused: Unless ordered by the judge or directed by their attorney, parties are strongly encouraged not to attend routine court hearings. Attorneys should advised their clients not to attend court unless their attendance is strictly necessary.
Litigants are strongly discouraged from bringing any other person with them to the courthouse.
